What is a Master Module?

In an ERP or CRM system, a Master refers to a module where all the core or base data is created and stored, which is then used across the entire system.

It acts like a central database of important information that doesn’t change frequently, such as customers, products, pipelines, or categories. Instead of entering the same details again and again in different modules, the system pulls this information directly from the Master.

Main Chapters in Master Module

1. Pipeline

The Pipeline module defines the structure of the sales process. It represents the journey a deal goes through, such as from lead to closure. Organizations can create multiple pipelines based on different workflows or business needs. It helps in organizing and visualizing the sales process clearly.

2. Deal Stage

The Deal Stage module defines the individual steps within a pipeline. For example, stages like “New,” “In Progress,” “Negotiation,” and “Closed.” Each deal moves through these stages as it progresses. This helps in tracking the current status of deals and understanding what actions are required next.
