What is Entries Module?

The Entries module in the Stock & Inventory system is used to create and manage the fundamental data required for inventory operations. It acts as the foundation for maintaining standardized information that supports accurate stock management. By organizing essential inventory details in advance, the system ensures that all stock transactions, reporting, and item tracking processes are consistent and efficient.

Main Chapters in Entires Module

1. Units

The Units section is used to define and manage the units of measurement for inventory items. Units determine how items are counted, measured, or recorded within the system, such as pieces, kilograms, liters, boxes, or meters.

By setting up units in the inventory system, organizations can maintain consistency in stock records and ensure that all transactions use the same measurement standards. This helps in accurate quantity tracking during stock entries, stock transfers, and inventory reporting. Proper unit management also reduces confusion when dealing with different types of products that require different measurement methods.

2.Warehouse Zones

The Warehouse Zones refer to the division of a warehouse into different sections or areas to organize inventory efficiently. Instead of storing all items randomly in one large space, the warehouse is divided into zones based on categories such as product type, usage, or storage requirements. This structured arrangement makes it easier to locate items, improves workflow, and reduces the time required for picking and storing goods. Warehouse zones are especially useful in large storage facilities where proper organization is essential for smooth operations.

3.Warehouse Racks

The Warehouse Racks are the specific storage locations within each zone where items are physically placed, such as shelves, bins, or rack units. While zones define broader areas, racks provide a more precise location for storing items. Each rack can be labeled (for example, A1, A2, B1), allowing staff to quickly identify the exact position of an item within the warehouse. This level of detail helps in accurate stock management, faster retrieval, and minimizing errors during inventory handling. Together, warehouse zones and racks create a well-structured system that ensures efficient storage, easy tracking, and better overall inventory control.

4. Catalog QR

The Catalog QR section is used to generate and manage QR codes for inventory items in the system. Each QR code is associated with a specific product in the inventory catalog and can be scanned using a scanner or mobile device to quickly retrieve item information.

This feature simplifies inventory management by enabling fast product identification and reducing manual data entry. QR codes can be used for activities such as stock verification, item tracking, warehouse management, and quick product lookup. By implementing Catalog QR codes, organizations can improve the speed and accuracy of their inventory handling processes.
