What is Account Receivables ?

Accounts Receivable is an important module in an Enterprise Resource Planning system that manages all customer payment transactions. It helps organizations record payments, manage credit transactions, and track outstanding customer balances, ensuring accurate financial records and effective cash flow management.

Main Chapters in the Accounts Receivable Module

1. Transactions
The Transactions section is used to record different types of customer-related financial activities. It includes the following:

  • Receipt Voucher: Used to record payments received from customers against invoices or outstanding balances.
  • Customer Credit Note: Used when an amount needs to be credited to the customer due to returns, discounts, or adjustments.
  • Customer Debit Note: Used to record additional charges or corrections that increase the amount payable by the customer.

2. Posting
The Posting section is used to finalize and post accounts receivable transactions into the accounting system. It ensures that all customer payments and adjustments are properly reflected in the financial records.

3. Reports
The Reports section provides detailed and summary reports related to customer transactions. These reports help users analyze customer payments, outstanding balances, and overall accounts receivable performance.
